Learning through creative play

All our children develop through creative,

stimulating, learning play. They thrive when

in the correct environment - one that is caring

and homely, safe and intuitive.

At Cherry Tree Day Nursery, we pride ourselves

with the fact we are the only family home environment private Nursery School in the area. Below are the

children's day to day activities set out in a little more detail.

Baby Unit

Tiny first steps

We offer a warm and cosy, safe and secure Baby Unit with facilities especially designed for babies.
Experienced, qualified staff gently introduce our babies to music, songs, books, shapes, colours, sensory experiences and messy play.
Babies thrive in our protective, loving environment and they enjoy the fresh air and sometimes sunshine in the Nursery garden.

Toddlers

Discovery & play

The toddlers enjoy lively activities throughout the day including ball pool fun, painting and sticking, water and sand play, musical instruments, dressing up and physical activities both indoors and out. After all the activity we have a cosy sleep for them to recharge their energy, ready for yet more play!

Pre-School

Children grow, play and learn
with our lively, fun and educational activities designed to stimulate
young minds.

Our free flow environment enables children to move between colourful rooms and large play garden everyday, choosing from a variety of exciting play resources in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage. Tactile and sensory experiences, outdoor exploration and mud kitchen, early science and physical challenges, expressive arts, role play, puppets, books, numbers, shapes, construction and computer actives. All promote and encourage new achievements, boost the children's self esteem and enhance independence skills in preparation for each Child's next steps and transitions to school.
